21 Day Challenge

I am challenging myself to 21 days of clean eating, no booze, no sugar and some sort of exercise daily. I am tired of being "stuck". But in all reality, it's my fault that I'm stuck.

If I ask myself,  "Am I doing everything possible to break this plateau?", the answer is "NO."

Most days, I do great. But I fell off the wagon during vacation. Then I fell off again on Easter. And then I fell off AGAIN this weekend. I've been able to maintain my lowest weight of 276.6 through all of this, but I'm ready to get OUT of the 270's. So to do that, I'm going to have to buckle down.

I know what to do. I just have to DO it.

I'm drinking too much. I'm cheating too much. I'm letting other issues in my life take front seat, when my journey to health is so much more important. So I'm going to prioritize. I'm going to really TRY.

And I encourage YOU to join me!

In other breaking news...

I signed up a couple of weeks ago to do the Susan Komen 3-day walk in Atlanta.

Help me reach my goal for the Susan G. Komen Atlanta 3-Day

If I did it right, you should be able to click a button on the right side of my blog to donate. Please donate! Even if it's just $5, it will help me reach my goal of $2300. My best friend, Brooke, and I will do this in October. It's been on our bucket list for a few years, and so this year we decided to JUST DO IT! I'd love to hear from anyone who has done it, or has fundraising or team advice. Thanks!

  1. Wow, this post really rings home! I actually gave myself a challenge for the month of April, too, just to get out of my rut and recommit myself to weight loss and the goals I made for myself. It's also a month of eating clean - vegan to be exact, but according to a book I got, so also no booze, refined sugar or flour, etc. I find it has really motivated me so far since I really want to complete the challenge. Hope you enjoy your challenge does the same for you, too, and you can get what you want out of it! :)

  2. When do you plan to start? Would love to join you..

  3. I am looking to start the Medifast meals soon and wondered if you liked it/hated it? Goods? bads? Also, I noticed that you blogged in exchange for their meals? Any chance you could get me more info on that? I would be very interested, as the meals are going to really be tough on our budget. Please let me know! Thank you so much!

  4. Hi Hollie, I'm Sherri from NJ. New to the blog reading world. I just wanted to say THANK YOU for this blog, keep up the good work, u look amazing and very happy. It is funny because reading your posts I literally see myself, ie fellow yellow girl/mixed kid, born in the 70's(I'm 2 yrs older)lol... Anyway, I just wanted to say Thanks. I'm counting carbs b/c I'm p're diabetic. I''ve had a love affair with food for as long as I can remember. About a month ago I went to my Dr for f/u on blood work and my
A1C was 6.3. Was soo ready to give up. Doc gave this screwed up look and bluntly told me that if I went on the meds for diabetes, It would b very hard to come off them. I chose to give this 1 more shot. So here I am. Just wanted to introduce myself, and give ya a shout out :). truly, Sherri

  9. I can empathize completely! If it weren't for my Visalus Body by Vi Shake meal replacements; I wouldnt have come as far as I have or make it through my entire weightloss journey like I am doing. Hang in there you know what you need to do just keep your eye on the prize!

  10. You can do it! I'm starting on Monday to cut out the sugar and at least 80% of the processed foods that have seemed to sneak back into my life.

  11. That is good to hear about the 21 Day challenge, even once i tried to go for it but mine was 60days, a bit different was i wanna gain weight, but after starting 2-3days i stopped. For this kind need a strong will power and confident if you got that you can do it. Weight Loss is not an easy task. You had to do hard work and must follow the schedule. Thank You & best of luck.
